Nothing is growing in our garden this winter except this gorgeous pogonip.

Felt Trivet from Purl Bee.

Check out the felted ball trivet on Purl Bee.  This would be a great starter felting project and a great way to experience the warm and fuzzy texture of a finished piece of felted wool. And, you'll have a very usable item for your kitchen.  I suggest you purchase the felting needle used to make the holes. I haven't been able to find this kind of a tool before now.

Goodbye Summer

Summer lasted a little longer than usual, this year. That was a treat for us because we harvested some extra tomatoes before the last frost, including this strange beauty.
